Supermarket Showdown: Whole Foods

I have to say, I was expecting it to be a lot more! One thing that is very true about Whole Foods is that there are a lot of tempting things to buy. If I can manage to stick to my list, it's not nearly as expensive.

I have listed the price of each item individually. The starred items are organic. The items in italics were not on the original list, but added as needed. Unfortunately, there are NO local items on this whole list :(

The almonds, sunflower seeds, lentils and quinoa were all bought in bulk (about a half pound of each), which is one very nice thing about Whole Foods. For the most part, I tried to buy either store brand or the cheapest items I could. There are a few things that I don't skimp on though, one is vegetable stock (the cheap ones are crazy high in sodium), and the other is canned beans (I love Eden brand canned beans, and their nutritional content is better).
